We are a new society for people interested
in Science and Astronomy, who live in Cranbrook, Kent
and the surrounding areas.
The Society is based at Cranbrook School.
We are very fortunate to have use of the
school's brand-new, purpose-built Observatory
building. This is equipped with several
telescopes.
We welcome people who want to
just "have a look" and see whether it's for
them. So please get in touch, if you are at all interested.
Don't feel you have to join immediately
- come along to a meeting or two and see if you like
it!
The annual membership subscription is
£15, payable on 1st January. If you join after
1st September of any year, you get up to 4 months free,
as your first subscription payment covers to the end
of the following year.
Please note however, that there is sometimes
a small charge to non-members (£2-ish) for the
bigger talks, which have an external speaker and refreshments.
This is clearly stated (if relevant) on the events
listing page
