THE ALAN YOUNG TELESCOPE - PROGRESS REPORT No.7
 
Massive progress in the last week! Here's the whole telescope, pretty much fully assembled and pointing out through the observatory roof.
The tube framework has been cleaned and resprayed in matt black. It looks jolly good. (Thanks Ted!)

In this shot, you can see the newly coated primary and secondary mirrors. It really does look like a serious telescope now.

This is the end result of our telescope working "party" on 30 September 2006. Many members came along and lent a hand. It was a Good Day.
